Spuds, anyone?

The rocket fuelNever trust a man with a can of Aqua Net in his hand and a look like this on his face. It can only mean one thing…the potato gun. Okay, in MY world it can only mean one thing. For those not familiar with our little toy, a while back (alright, 11 years ago) Judd and I built a mean little weapon for launching tubers into near orbit using some PVC piping and a spark igniter.

The projectileIt should have probably been more aptly named the potato cannon as you can see just how much potato it uses for ammunition. Surprisingly, with a little aqua net for fuel and spark for ignition this thing has a rather loud report and can send the spuds flying a good 100 yards. Did I mention the childish smile it will put on a man’s face? See the rest of the chaos over here. Video coming soon!!
